So far, I have been enjoying the Adventures of Business Cat a great deal, possibly more than is appropriate for an adult human. (All of these are from the webcomic Happy Jar)

UPDATE: Now with more Business.

YES ALL THE BUSINESS CAT STRIPS IN ONE PLACE

For once, I do believe I am in the extreme minority of the tumblr TF fandom:  I am a feminist who doesn’t give a shit about Windblade!

I think I am also in the extreme minority as I am a feminist who actually enjoyed Furman’s version of Arcee’s origins.

today i got assaulted left and right for saying windblade was more than a feminist’s playtoy

let’s see how they treat you

also hey i like furman’s work on arcee too c:

"assaulted" =/= people on tumblr yelled at me

also you got people pissed off because, while I think your intentions are good, you basically said “stop being happy about Windblade being female, stop talking about it, no stop it’s not important at all” even though you have to know that female representation is important and that more female characters leads to more female readers and a boost in the franchise overall. You even said you had non-TF friends want to pick it up because it was about a female character, written and drawn by women.

like, I don’t get your problem. I really don’t.

my bad on the misuse of the word “assaulted”

people are treating windblade as if she was only important because she’s a woman written and drawn by women and I think that’s fucking stupid

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, there’s so much more to windblade than just “girl”

and I’m actually afraid about her because of that, as much of people who “hate” her only because she’s a female than by people who defend her only because she’s a female

that’s what bothers me

The only people I see praising Windblade JUST because she’s a female character are some of the creepier fanboys on the TFW2005 forums who will literally fall over themselves trying to justify their like of a character with metal boobs.

I guess I’m just massively missing all these posts where people are like “yeah Windblade is an awful shell of a character BUT AT LEAST SHE’S A CHICK”

Like yeah I get your concern, you and I both want Windblade to be a damn good character same as the male-identifying bots, but this entire argument is the opposite of a good way to convey this concern.

yeah, you’re probably right

I just felt the need to vent is all

probably wasn’t a good idea but heeeyyyy

let’s just sit here and wait for more TF comics :D

hi guys!!

so, courtney and i have both been thinking about this, and we didn’t come to this conclusion very easily, but we need your help.

courtney egberts has been dating me, alana striders since july of 2011. our 3rd anniversary is coming up, and we’ve never once met each other in person! we make plans to meet up what seems like at least three times a year, and they always fall through due to outside factors or money issues.

this year, we really, really want to make it happen.

so, here’s the deal: we are both trying our hardest to save money for this, but we need help. specifically by way of money. that’s where you might come in, if you’re able and willing!

here is where you can donate to courtney’s paypal fund for her plane ticket

we currently need roughly 500 dollars, and that’s just for her plane ticket.

if you can’t donate, don’t feel obligated! this is entirely optional, we’re just looking at all of our options, and if you don’t want to donate, that’s fine! we totally understand.

if you could, though, please signal boost this! it would mean the world for us to finally get to meet each other.

thank you so, so much for taking your time to read this. we love you guys!

Villain Quote of the Day salutes The Eight Demon Sorcerers of Jackie Chan Adventures (had one day of peace and marathoned it with the help of the beautiful therapists at Netflix).

While Tso Lan is my all-time favorite (excluding Shendu, whom I love), I feel that Hsi Wu is probably the most entertaining.  They’re all fun, though.

Also, the voice acting for these delightful demons is just fan-fucking-tastic!
